It’s November (already?!), and I want to pause and express my appreciation for the many educators and administrators who bring creativity, innovation, and a dedication to best practices into our schools every day.
Your commitment to improvement and excellence inspires me, and it fuels the growth of our students and communities.
This month, I’m also grateful for resources that deepen our understanding and effectiveness, especially the new book 10 to 25: The Science of Motivating Young People by Dr. David Yeager.
His recent talk at the Center for Brain Health in Dallas, TX, highlighted the profound insights in his book—a vital resource for managers, educators, parents, and anyone looking to connect with young people in ways that foster respect and growth.
I couldn’t put the book down.
I especially appreciate that Dr. Yeager, a former middle school teacher, brings this educator lens to his work, offering practical and compassionate strategies that resonate with educators.
To support your own gratitude practice, here are a few prompts to consider this month. Reflecting on even one can deepen your appreciation for the meaningful work you do:
Are you noticing more diverse learning needs in your class(es)?
We are currently offering two webinar series’ designed to help promote practices that meet the needs of all students.

Take a moment to celebrate all the good that you do and to thank those around you that are part of your journey this year. Happy November!
